Salam is the Founder & CEO of Wuntira Agribusiness Ventures (WAV). He is committed to sustainable farming practices and empowering rural women with hands-on business skills. With a decade-long experience in the agribusiness value chain and a background in accounting and business management, Salam is a dynamic entrepreneur dedicated to solving global challenges like food insecurity, poverty, and climate change. He collaborates with rural communities, smallholder farmers, and small-scale aggregators, advocating for empowering smallholder farmers and shea processors and their connection to profitable, sustainable markets. Bashiru has nearly five years of accounting experience at Wuntira Agribusiness Ventures and Wuntira Foundation. He holds a master's degree in financial accounting from Tamale Technical University. He has reputable experience in project financial management and administration. He has overseen the financial administration of several WAV and Wuntire Foundation projects funded and sponsored by organizations such as the Mastercard Foundation, Global Shea Alliance, USAID Feed the Future GTI Activity, and the International Institute of Tropical Agriculture projects.
Isahaaku is responsible for planning, implementing, and monitoring projects at the Wuntira Foundation. He has a BA in procurement and has worked with rural farmers for over seven years. Isahaaku has been a procurement and assistant program coordinator at Wuntira Foundation for the past three years. He oversees the procurement of commodities under Wuntira Agribusiness Ventures and also helps coordinate trainings under Wuntira Foundation.
Isaac manages the Wuntira Foundation’s public relations, marketing, and communication strategies. He has over 10 years of experience as a business development officer. He has a master's in Business Administration from the University of Cape Coast and has built businesses from the start-up stage to profitable status.
Sherifa is the director of the Women Support and Activist Group (WOSAG), a collective of women activists from the Northern Region of Ghana dedicated to providing empowerment opportunities and a supportive environment for women and girls. With 12 years of experience, Sherifa has been a steadfast activist and advocate for the advancement of women, particularly rural women, and female youth. She has served as a consultant for the Wuntira Foundation for two years. Her extensive background working with key stakeholders in welfare and gender organizations significantly contributes to achieving the milestones set for all activities of the Wuntira Foundation.
Benjamin leads the board of directors, leveraging his experience in the finance industry. Benjamin is a senior lecturer at the Department of Finance, University of Ghana Business School. He has over 17 years of experience in the finance industry, encompassing both teaching and practical roles. As the independent non-executive director of Wuntira Agribusiness Ventures, Dr. Amoah has demonstrated a proven track record in financial management, corporate governance, organizational management, and research. In addition to WAV’s board, he also serves on the board of the Financial Awareness Foundation in California, USA. He is the President of the Financial Literacy Educators Association of Ghana (FLEAG).

Kurt brings his experience in the food industry to WAV. He focuses on improving the processing, quality, value, and utilization of value-added products and co-products for use in human foods, animal feeds, and industrial applications. His work serves the food and bioprocessing industries, including fuel ethanol, beverage alcohol, grain processing, farming and livestock, ingredient and equipment suppliers, engineering design and construction, and other affiliated organizations and individuals.
Herbert has extensive experience in international business development. He has been the co-owner of iGrow Pre-Owned since August 2018. Before this, he served as the founder/publisher of iGrow News in January 2016. He also worked in real estate and development in Brooklyn, New York, USA. Herbert also played a crucial role in the Development Corporation of America, which successfully rehabilitated over 100 homes in Washington, D.C., with the assistance of the Federal Housing Administration Section 235i program. Herbert advises WAV on strategic business decisions, aiming to achieve the international operational standards and certifications required for WAV's advancement and promotion.
